Project description
Ecotech’s expertise in construction and project management allowed us to engage the construction of 125 new build affordable homes and associated infrastructure works, which form the model for the redevelopment of the Mumtaz Garden Estate in Kajiado town, Kenya. The client is a local real estate development company established to develop demand driven projects and aims the developments to be at the forefront of sustainability and is committed to achieving an EcoHomes rating of “Excellent” for all dwellings.
This first phase of a major development will require the construction of 50 dwellings, a new school, health center, community hall, mosque, shopping mall and all associated internal roads & infrastructure works. Ecotech to provide engineering design, cost & project management and construction supervision services associated with the development. For those who were part of the construction team there were additional benefits; such as extensive project-based training and wider skills improvement programs.
Ecotech is a leader in delivering transformative real estate projects around the east Africa region, working with owners and developers who demand creativity and flexibility because, while they must develop a distinct project for today that stands apart, their project must also be able to seamlessly pivot towards future trends in the market.
Modern residential housing present opportunities to investigate new and innovative concepts that could fundamentally alter the collective vision of what is possible within these spaces. Ecotech was instrumental in helping client develop a collaborative model of procurement for its housing program. The creation of this strategic alliance created significant savings in cost and time, and high levels of resident satisfaction.
