Project description
Ecotech architects is collaborating with the Somali National Olympic Committee (NOCSOM) representatives to develop the new NOCSOM recreational building in Mogadishu, which successfully integrates multiple functions not currently available to the community. The new facility will utilise sustainable design elements including maximizing natural daylights, energy efficient building systems.
The new three-story, multipurpose facility consists of offices, sports bar, gym, professional training facilities and sports clinic. There are also new multiple locker, showers and change rooms, physiotherapy center plus lounges and a place to watch live games. The public meeting rooms will have all of the technology and flexible space needed for a small gathering or a large group.
This open and flexible environment will adapt to multiple work styles now and in the future. Furthermore the design is also intended to encourage interaction, communication and knowledge sharing among visitors and athletes.
Ecotech understand the dynamics of the global sports industry and combine our technical expertise with in-depth knowledge of the commercial and operational criteria that influence venue design. We work with leading architects and event organisers, with owners, local authorities and developers, to deliver buildings that are attractive, sustainable, operationally robust and commercially sound.
We know that every venue, whether a recreational building or a local gym, shares several fundamental goals: to provide a rewarding experience for all users, to meet the business needs of both owner and operator, to enhance the environment and to contribute to quality of life in the wider community.
