To support the construction and reconstruction of infrastructure and the development of public service delivery capacity in targeted areas of Somalia. The World Bank and its implementing partner the Ministry of Finance (FGS) has been chosen Ecotech Ltd as Engineering Consultant for Special Financing Facility for Local Development (SFF-LD) regional infrastructure development program.
This World Bank funded project aims to strengthen state legitimacy and government effectiveness in peripheral areas while improving local governance and supporting economic recovery through construction and reconstruction of small-scale public infrastructure.
Ecotech’s scope of work under this contract is to provide engineering consulting services for the Development of Preliminary and Detailed Engineering Designs and Supervision of Civil Works. The project will entail rehabilitation works of existing infrastructure mostly urban roads, bridges, culverts and drainage systems, as well as small-scale construction and rehabilitation of basic community infrastructure, such as markets, public sanitation facilities in primary health care or education facilities and administrative buildings.
